या बिभर्ति बहुधा प्राणदेजत् सा नो भूमिर्गोष्वप्यन्ने दधातु।।
अथर्व०१२/१/४जिस राष्ट्र की चारों दिशाएं विस्तीर्ण और सुरक्षित हैं, जिसमें फल एवं अन्नादि की खेती होती है, जहाँ सभी मनुष्य प्रेमपूर्वक मिल कर निवास करते और मिलकर उन्नति करते हैं, वही मातृभूमि प्राणधारी और चेष्टशील प्राणी जगत् का अनेक प्रकार से भरण-पोषण करती है। यह हमारी मातृभूमि गो-दुग्ध और अन्नादि से हमारा भरण-पोषण करे अर्थात् हमारे राष्ट्र में प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के लिए सर्वांगीण विकास एवं उन्नति के सभी रास्ते खुले होने चाहिए। हम लोगों को मिल जुलकर कृषि आदि धंधों से राष्ट्र की समृद्धि करनी चाहिए।

The nation whose four directions are wide and safe, where fruits and food grains are cultivated, where all human beings live together lovingly and progress together, that motherland nourishes the living beings in many ways. May our motherland nourish us with cow-milk and food grains, that is, all avenues of all-round development and progress should be open for every person in our nation. We should work together to make the nation prosperous through businesses like agriculture etc.
